Do you enjoy cooking and trying new recipes?  Would you also like to see new reviews on your recipes?  You have come to the right place!  Come join us in this fun tag game where you can do both.  Everyone is welcome to join in. The only requirement for you to play this game is that you have at least 1 recipe of your own posted somewhere on the internet. This recipe must allow a tagger to review or comment on the recipe.

Here are the basics:
1) Go to the RECIPES OFFERED list and choose a recipe that you want to tag (which means that you will make it and review it).
2) Post in this game thread that you will make that recipe so we know it is no longer available for tagging.
3) Make and review the recipe within 2 weeks from the date you made the tag.
4) Come back here and tell us when it has been made and completed. If you want to share a photo that is great, too!
5) Once you have completed a tag then you get to offer one of your own recipes that can be tagged by others.

The Detailed Rules:
1. Find a recipe to tag.
To do this, look at the RECIPES OFFERED list on Page 1. This section will be updated once a day. You may also go to the end of the thread and scroll backwards to see which recipes have been offered or completed since the last update. If new recipes are offered after the update, and as long as they haven't been tagged yet, you are free to tag any of them. However, remember that only one player can tag each recipe offered. You may have as many tags as you like, as long as you are sure that you can make them before the 2 week deadline.

2. Finish your tag within 2 weeks.
A tag means you are committing to making the recipe and reviewing it within 2 weeks. We realize that life sometimes gets in the way of our cooking/tagging, so if you know that you are not going to be able to meet the 2 week deadline, please ask us for an additional 2-week extension.
Tags not finished within the 2-week period, will be marked as PAST DUE and noted on the tag so that you can easily see if one of your tags is overdue.Once listed as PAST DUE for longer than 4 weeks (28 days), you will no longer be able to participate in any of the games in the “Cooking Events and Games Forum” until you have made and reviewed any recipes that have you on that list. This is done in order to keep it fair for all players in the games.

3.Report back here when finished.
After you make your recipe, post a review on the recipe page.
Once the review has posted, come to this thread and let us know it is all finished and share a photo if you have one.

4. Now it is your turn.
As a reward for reviewing another player's recipe, you will receive a ‘credit’ by your name and you will get to offer one of your own recipes for another player to tag. Any of your posted recipes are eligible for offering – even a recipe already reviewed in this game. The choice is totally up to you.

Posting Format: To make it easy for everyone to follow along in the game, please use the following posting format when OFFERING a recipe:
Nancy's Pantry recipe # (put the link here).

Or when TAGGING a recipe:
Nancy's Pantry is tagging Noo's recipe # (put the link here).

Mistags: The game hosts will inform you if you accidentally tagged a recipe that is not eligible. It is important for you to come back and read the posts following your tag to make sure your tag was good. The game is updated daily so any issues will be noticed quickly.

Recipes Offered: Once you have offered a recipe, you may not switch the recipe. After one week, any recipe that is still on the list will automatically be removed by a game host during the next update and a credit will be added to the name of the player who offered the recipe which allows you to offer another recipe.

Explaining our Lists :
There are several lists on page 1 of this thread – here is an explanation:
RECIPES OFFERED ~ This is the complete list of all recipes that are eligible to be tagged since the last update by one of the game's hosts.
RECIPES TAGGED ~ This is a list of all of the recipes that have been tagged and still need to be completed.
PLAYERS ~ The players list shows how many tags a player has to complete and how many credits they have. Players that are PAST DUE will be moved to the Past Due list. When outstanding tags are made and reviewed, then those players will receive a credit indicated by (1 ) after your name.
COMPLETED TAGS ~ This is a list of recipes that have been completed.

Playing Fairly: A note on the spirit of the game
There are some things that should be avoided, in order to reduce the potential for confusion, hurt feelings or unfair game play:
Requesting specific recipes. Please do not request a specific recipe or type of recipe (ex. more soups, less desserts, etc.) be posted by the taggers.
Holding a recipe for someone. You may offer a recipe more than once if you have the credits needed, but please do not state you are offering it for a specific player.

To get started, you can find recipes to tag, on the RECIPES OFFERED list as well as AFTER the latest update posted on one of the last few pages of this thread!!!

Welcome to the first game of the Food, friends and fun forum!!!

Since we are all new and we don't have access to the old forums, there aren't any recipes up for tagging. Anyone who wants to participates, between today and Sunday before midnight, will be given 2 recipe credits(your own recipes that are from a site that allows for reviews) to offer up for consideration.

Ok, I want to participate too - BUT I have a question. There's always a trouble-maker in every crowd. image ... Once I post 2 recipe choices for the list, is there a time limit during which I must select a recipe to review? The reason I ask is I have already reviewed Bayhill's scone recipe and DH is restricted from eating nuts as part of his dialysis. So I will have to be esp selective ... hence my question about any time limit for selecting a recipe for review. I won't be tagging as actively as I have in the past and have already signed up for the Culinary Quest. Should I wait?

If we ever expected a trouble maker in the room, it figures that it would be the twisted one. LOL.

Nope. You do not have a time limit for tagging recipes. You can most certainly wait until enough recipes are posted in order to pick something that will work for you and DH.

So.......you can offer something up with your credits any time that you want to.

It's so good to see you here, MP. (waving madly)

WooHoo! - That didn't take long. I'll tag Lynn's Recipe #481999 and be back w/2 recipes of mine for the list.

Edited To Add: I got so excited that I was typing like a maniac and lost any regard for the posting method. I'll do better, I promise.

Aw.....I want to play too, but we're leaving on vacation shortly and I wouldn't be able to make anything in time, since we'll be gone for 2 weeks. :(
But I'm sure it will still be here when we get back.
