If still available, I would like to do the Bahamas Fruit Challenge and the Indonesian Spice Challenge.

The Bahamian Fruit Challenge was filled by ForeverMama, but you got the Indonesian Spice Challenge.

No problem, Lucy.  I can do the Rum Challenge for the Bahamas instead.

Bad, bad link.  I think you said you were doing Coconut Coffee with Ginger (Bajigur Indonesia), right?

I'll check that you did it right but here are instructions for posting pictures.

You know how to post so when you see this screen click on the picture icon:

image

Then cut and paste the picture url from off the recipe.  I usually right click and save the picture's address, then I put it on  a text file so that it is easy to cut and paste.  But do it however your computer works:

Hit the OK button and you will get your picture:

Before you post make sure you type whatever you wanted to say.  The correct way to post a completion:

Region
url of first recipe
url of second recipe, etc.

picture
picture, etc.

You also need to post our team's banner.  I've put it in my forum signature, but you can manually post it with your completions.

Let me know if these instructions are not clear and the team will try to explain it better.  Otherwise, I can show you a "cheat" for posting the banner, but it won't let you show off your photos to the rest of us!

Completed the Pirate Challenge for the Bahamas. Reported in thread.

Pirate Challenge
JostLori, aka Shark Breath Adele, reporting on Black Caesar

image

I, Shark Breath Adele, fondly remember me seamate, Black Caesar.    He was th' most successful black pirate o' th' Golden Age o' Piracy, now unfortunately past.

Caesar was a tall African chief, wit' great strength 'n keen intelligence. But a connivin' cap'n tricked 'im 'n his warriors aboard a ship, 'n th' scurvy cur set sail while Caesar 'n his scallywags were dinin'.Durin' th' voyage, Caesar refused t' eat or drink. But one sailor showed 'im kindness 'n they became hearties. When th' ship wrecked on th' reefs o' Florida, th' sailor freed me hearty Caesar 'n they were th' only two t' survive, getting’ away on a longboat loaded wit' supplies 'n ammunition. They left th' others t' die.Me mate Caesar 'n his scallywag frien’ decided t' attack passin' ships. When one was spotted, they rowed th' longoat nigh th' ship 'n pretended t' be shipwrecked. Once aboard, they commandeered control 'n pilfered th' loot.

image

He be a crafty ole devil seadawg. He 'n his crew were able t' avoid bein' capture by runnin' into th' inlets between Elliot 'n Ole Rhodes Key 'n onto th' mangrove islands. Usin' a metal rin' embedded in a rock, they ran a strong rope through th' rin', heel th' ship o'er, 'n hide thar ship in th' water 'til th' patrol ship or some other danger went away.

He got richer than most me other pirate mates. He had ships, gold, jewels 'n wenches t' last a lifetime.   I met me buddy Caesar in 1714 when I was crewin' wit' Captain Blackbeard.
                                                                    image               image

We were all barbarians 'n robbed many a rich ship 'til th' fateful November 1718, when th' dammed Lieutenant Robert Maynard o' th' Royal Navy 'n his filthy curs attacked Blackbeard nigh Ocracoke Island. Under Blackbeard's orders, Caesar stood in th' powder cabin wit' a lit match. If th' navy succeeded in defeatin' them, he was t' blow up th' ship - the mighty Queen Anne's Revenge. He was about t' do jus' that when two captives, that Blackbeard had stowed below durin' th' fight, stopped Caesar. He was taken t' Virginia 'n danced th' hempen jig in Williamsburg. Caesar was th' only one o' th' five black pirates captured - James Black, Thomas Gates, Richard Stiles, 'n James White bein' th' others arrested, who refused t' give evidence against his comrades.

'Tis said Caesar buried a large cache o' booty somewhere on Elliot Key, but where, nobody knows. Dead men tell no tales.Black Caesar be a good man, though he was a violent heathen like th' rest o' us. He went down as th' most famous black pirate that ever lived. May he rest in peace.
