hey honey did you still want to switch the cucumber recipe by mikekey to the yakumi challenge? your recipe would wrap up that  one.

Lori, Doll, how's the Swiss Bank thing going?  We still have plenty of time, but if you need something...

I am noticing that with the smaller teams, its kind of hard to get 15 Extra Cooking recipes.  Thank goodness for the gift shop!

Take a look in the thread you made for the challenge here and then the FB page.   Didnt post any info here that was important, just the dates, amount of deposit, and that it is a savings account. Not going to spill the beans! LOL

Just me... again...

I completed a recipe yesterday, that I no longer see in the the approved recipes. Maybe I looked up the wrong one? I made
http://www.food.com/recipe/ponzu-sauce-authentic-496735
I knew we could make a Ponzu sauce for the "Yakumi Challenge", but now I don't see it on the list. I screwed up!
Wondering if I can I still use it for the Challenge...?
I'm waiting to hear from the Mighty Za'ar Team... image

the ponzu sauce you saw was from pammyowl and I dont remember seeing her as anyone's team member. were you maybe looking at Baby Kato's recipe......http://www.justapinch.com/recipes/sauce-spread/other-sauce-spread/ponzu-sauce-a-japanese-condiment.html?p=10
I went back and took a look at the directions again and you will be fine with the ponzu sauce but if you want to double check with Nancy or Lucie for that final ok.

what have you completed hon? see you have the team mascot, yakumi, and culture corner challenges but no recipes posted. I know your yakumi recipe is not completed but are the other two challenges? how are the two required recipes coming along? we get points when the whole team makes their one recipe for Japan and one for Switzerland. if you cant get extra cooking done no worries.

the cutoff date and time for everything is August 8th at 11:59 but we shouldnt wait until the last minute.

Thanks Lori! : )

Rosie, the only problem that I see is that you need to choose a recipe from the approved recipe list that contains one of the listed condiments (of which Ponzu sauce is one of them).  So, with that said, you would need to make a recipe that contains "Ponzu" sauce (or another condiment on the list) and not just make a Ponzu sauce by itself.

Here are lazyme's instructions on the challenge:

Your challenge is to choose, prepare and review any recipe from the approved regional recipes that contains one of the listed condiments above. Return to this thread and post your recipe of choice and tell us what you thought of it! Please also let us know which condiment you used in your recipe.

Hope this helps. : )

Hi Team,

Just a reminder to be absolutely sure that you post your recipe completions here and in the appropriate Welcome -or- Challenge threads.  They must be posted in both places. : )

Challenge completions -- post here and in the appropriate Challenge thread

Required recipe and extra recipes - post here and in the appropriate Welcome thread

Thanks!

Joy,

You posted in the Welcome to Japan thread that this was Sue's recipe. This link goes to Bethie's recipe and has no review. Could you please clarify and repost? Thanks so much. It is a beautiful photo. image

Lori,

pammyowl passed away over 1 1/2 years ago. This recipe was never in the approved recipes list. I also responded to Rosie's posts in both the Yakumi challenge and Welcome to Japan threads.  image

I had the midnight munchies at about 1:00 a.m. this morning, so I went ahead and made my Swiizerland dish instead of waiting for breakfast! I posted the review so I will wait for it to show up (Re-posted my Japan reviews from the other day, as well).
Completed for LBOB Switzerland: http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/oven-baked-rsti-cake-20320

Thanks for your input, Karen. So far it seems to be that I will go with #1 and #3.

See you all in the morning (well, later today)! image

This is the only recipe so far that my review is showing on. I also made another Swiss recipe this morning, and also a Ponzu sauce that I need to use in a Japanese recipe (now to find a recipe in the list that uses ponzu).
